What's In It For YOU?
So, you've heard about this coaching thing, but you're not sure it's for you. What could a coach possibly do for you, and what will you gain from a coaching partnership?
AUTHENTIC LISTENING
A coach listens to you at the deepest level - not just to what you say, but to what you're not saying. Rather than giving you advice, or letting you give in to those voices in your head, your coach will help you bring out what YOU want, at the deepest level, and what you NEED to be happy and fulfilled.
PROVIDE NEW PERCEPTIONS TO OLD PROBLEMS
It may seem like there's only one way to look at whatever you're confronting, or one way to handle a situation, but a coach can help you open to and understand the opportunities and circumstances you're facing in a brand new way
FOCUS
There's a lot going on around you, lots on your mind, lots of obstacles, lots of problems. Your coach can help you focus on what's most important, so you can let go of what's holding you back, and move forward towards the life or career you want.
AN IMPARTIAL CONFIDANTE
Your work with your coach is completely confidential. You can tell your coach what's at the heart of your thoughts and know you will not be judged and the deep work you do together will not be shared with anyone else unless you tell them about it.
IMPROVE YOUR LEADERSHIP SKILLS
A coach will be by your side to take a deep look at any areas you want to improve, like being a better leader. You'll have someone helping you to get you in touch with what's holding you back from the things you want to improve, and develop a strategy to address these improvements.
ACTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Your coach will keep you stay on track with creating the actions you need to reach your goals, and will hold you accountable to complete them. You get tol design the method you want to be held accountable, and know that your coach wants to see you succeed as much as you do.
SELF UNDERSTANDING
The work you do with your coach will be invaluable in helping you better understand yourself, your needs, your fears, and what you most need to accomplish your goals - whether personal, career, or other. In making the commitment to working with a coach, you're actually committing to yourself, to get in touch with who you are and what you want at your core.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
A coach can sometimes feel like your cheerleader! Part of coaching is taking the time to point out the areas where you've made accomplishments or stepped outside your comfort zone. Often, we have an easy time criticizing ourselves for what we did wrong. Your coach will help you focus on what you're doing right - we'll actually be looking for those areas together and have you view your life in a whole new way!
